| Pashchimi has had yet another successful year, thanks to your help and support. Starting with the Saraswati Puja in January, we organized four other events last year. Our Bengal day in May was as big a crowd puller as in the previous years. We thank ICC for allowing us to hold the event there. We were honored to be invited by the Indian Consulate in May to organize a cultural event to celebrate the 150th birth anniversary of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore. We thank everyone who traveled to the city on a weekday after work to and made it a grand success. Our flagship event, Durga Puja 2011, saw a tumultuous crowd on all five days. Devotees from all over the bay area braved the inclement weather to offer Puja. We are thankful to the Fremont Hindu Temple for partnering with us to organize the Durga Puja and Laxmi Puja at the temple premises. |

| Pashchimi's events received a lot of press including a TV report (please see the video clip below), and mentions in the local news and print media. This demonstrates the increasing popularity and support our events have been receiving from you. We thank you for your constant encouragement and support. |

We have a lot of plans for 2012. Apart from our regular events like Durga Puja and Bengal Day, we are also planning other events to entertain you as well as to nurture and foster our tradition and culture in the US. |

| Bangla Radio – Robibarer Asor |

| Pashchimi has started a Bengali channel on 1550 AM since September. Starting with the airing of “Mahisasurmardini” on the auspicious Mahalaya morning, our channel has airing olden goldies and new hits from the Bengali musical industry and been increasing in popularity by the week. We have been flooded with comments about our program from various parts of USA as well as India. |

Thank you for bringing Bangla music to the radio in the SFO Bay Area…Manna Dey’s program was well-designed and well-presented. The songs were chosen with care and presented with passion. This week's Hemanta Mukherjee program was even better, filled with nostalgia and fun.. |

| Student Support Program |
| Since 2009 Pashchimi has started a program to support meritorious students in India. We have been supporting five to six students every year in their college education. The cost to support a deserving, brilliant but poor student in India is insignificant. We spend that kind of money regularly without batting an eyelid, and yet, it can change a young person and a whole family’s future. Be that agent of change. Bring that dawn into someone’s life.
