DEVI BANDANA– A dance drama on the eve of Durga Puja Mahasthami. Songs adopted from Birendra Krishna Bhadra's Mahalaya.
Music directed by Chandreyi Das.
Vocal: Minakshi (Sen) Dutta, Aditi Dutta, Subarna Bhattacharya, Ramendra Kundu, Nilendu Saha, Prasun Maharatna, Chandrashekar Mukherjee, and Chandreyi Das.

NRITARGHYA (Offering Of Dances) - Creative Dance Show by
renowned DANCER AND CHOREOGRAPHER SUKALYAN BHATTACHARYA and team.
- On behalf of Sukalyan Bhattacharya, his entourage presents an "Offering of Dances", Nritarghya, a montage of Indian dances in various classical and contemporary styles. Sukalyan’s choreography,
while pursuing the inherent grammar of classical Indian dance, blends graceful body movements with the vibrant lyricism of folk tradition and martial art forms. The Offering is an experimental composition weaving various styles synthesized to create an innovative and contemporary dance experience.
Concept, Choreographed and Directed By: Sukalyan Bhattacharya.

Bengali Drama - "PROSTAB" - A hilarious comedy written by Chekhov, and translated in Bengali
by famous actor and play-writer Ajitesh Banerjee.
Directed by Sangita Nandy.
Performers: Subhartha Roy Choudhury, Suvangshu Ghosh and Sangita Nandy.

Sruti Natak - "Koilashe kaalbela" - An ironic story depicting the reflection
of contemporary society onto our belief written by Famous Bengali Film Director Haranath Chakraborty.
Directed by Amrita Sircar. Performers: Chandrasekhar Mukherjee, Chiranjit Acharya, Sudipto Kundu,
Ansarul Hoque & Amrita Sircar.
MAYA, a short dance drama written by Sangita Nandy.

Musical Band by "UJAAN" - Famous Bengali Band from
Sacramento California. UJAAN has already published their first Music CD on August 15th, 2006.
Ujaan will be perform on MahaAshthami, September 30th, during Pashchimi's Durga Puja and Sharod Mela 2006.
They will present their mesmerizing tunes during this show. A show you don't want to miss!

October 1st (Maha Navami) - Sunday, Afternoon (2:30 - 5:00 PM).
Tune of light Bengali music on Electric Guitar by Bipul Paul. - Tunes of Rabindrasangeet and a other film songs.
Bipul plays various Bengali and Hindi songs (mostly old songs) in electric steel guitar and performed in several places in India and USA.
Musical Band by "Harano Sur" - Harano Sur belongs to a generation
who grew up listening All India Radio Kolkata and nurtured by programs like "Anurodher Asor", "Chhayachhobir Gaan",
"Moner moto gaan mone rakha kotha" etc.
These programs offered a huge variety of Bengali-film and non-film songs(popularly known as "Adhunik Gaan").
Harano Sur is an effort to capture those lost moments and present those songs in their diverse colors and shades.
The musicians and singers have performed for other popular bands and are well known in the Bay Area.

Utpalendu needs no introduction and he is currently an institution by himself. He is carrying on with the tradition set and led of his late father Sri Nirmalendu Choudhury, the renowned singer of “Palli Geeti”. Utpalendu has done an excellent fusion of different folk songs from different parts of the world. His gamut of expertise in folks is simply extraordinary.
On Sunday, MahaNavami Afternoon, we will present Mr. Utpalendu Choudhury accompanied by Tapan Chaki in Tabla. This presentation will truly regale you.
