Children's Fancy Dress show
Children dressed up in various colorful costumes perform acts to entertain us
all. All participating children will be given prizes - every kid is a winner -
we do not want to see their tiny hearts broken, do we?

Odissi Dance by Jyoti Kala Mandir
Odissi is an ancient, breathtakingly beautiful form of sacred dance, which was
originally developed in the temple of Jagannath in Orissa, East India, as a
form of worship and meditation. The teacher, Jyoti Raut has a master's degree
in Odissi dance. Her students (aged 6-13) will be performing:
- Dipang Jyoti and
- Durga Abinaya - Mahishashur Mardini.

Bengali Drama "Shanibaar"
- Hilarious Play by Badal Sircar

Shanibaar is a light-hearted play of hopes, exuberance, letdowns and
inner-feelings of a common man. The story is told by one of the greatest
playwrights of contemporary Bengal through the use of clever story telling,
insightful and humorous dialogues and situations.
ENAD captures and enhances the story with its disciplined production by the use
of competent acting, original scores and songs, imaginative sets and minimal

Kathak Recital - by Dipanwita, Pragya and Sangita
Kathak, a North Indian classical dance, is known for its rhythmic footwork,
mesmerizing "chakkars" (rotations) and subtle "abhinaya" (acting). This
performance is based on the Lucknow Gharana style of dance, opening with a pure
"Nrittya", consisting of bols like tora, paran, chakradhars and tatkaar.
The dancers are the disciples of Nritya Shiromoni Guru Bandana Sen - Dipanwita
Sengupta, Pragya Dasgupta and Sangita Nandy. |

Light Indian Music Band - "Harano Sur"
Harano Sur, formed by established musicians and singers, bring to you old
popular Bengali and Hindi melodies by Lata, Asha, Kishore Kumar, Hemanta Kumar
et al. All singers and musicians are part of popular Bay area orchestra bands.
Participants are as follows:
Vocals: Madhuboni, Shreya, Jeeti, Souvik, Dhrishan , Indrani Bhattacharya,
Kalapi Roy-Neogi, Nilanjan Sirkar, Rochit Gupta, Riten Bhattacharya, Sreedhar
