Pashchimi has partnered with Children International (www.children.org) to support the development of underprivileged girl children in India. Children International works with local partners in India to provide access to education and personal hygiene to these children. 

Why Children International? While there are many ways to support children, we have chosen Children International as we find their oversight and feedback to be better than others. They monitor the progress of the children very closely and ensure that maximum benefits are reaching these kids. Additionally, some of the members of Pashchimi have been sponsoring children via Children International for several years and have found it to be a reliable and transparent organization. 

Why Partner with Pashchimi? While it is possible to sponsor a child directly, partnering with Pashchimi has some added benefits. Our dedicated team will keep a continuous oversight on the development of the children we sponsor. 

Secondly, Pashchimi’s crowdfunding model offers the flexibility to sponsor any amount of your choosing. We pool the money, match from our own funds - that forms the amount we sponsor. 

Thirdly, you will get a visibility of the utilization of the funds, i.e. the children who will benefit from our sponsorship. The details will be available on our website.The amount you sponsor is tax deductible, and you will receive a receipt from us which you can use in your tax filing.

How Does it Work? Sponsoring is very simple. Please visit our website and click on the “Pashchimi Giving” button and enter your sponsorship amount. There is no floor or ceiling limit. Your money will go into a pool. Pashchimi will match the pool amount upto $2500 in a year and send the amount to Children International. 

To donate, please visit our website and click on “Sponsor a Child” button or click on “PashchimiGiving” page. In the PashchimiGiving page, enter your details, in the “message” box indicate that this is for sponsoring children.

Can a sponsorship be refunded? As soon as you send your donation, the money is sent over to Children International, so unfortunately we cannot refund a donation.
